| Description | This book contains several sections on porcelain manufacture and its secrets. The volume contains notes on Chinese porcelain in a chapter “Des P. d’Entrecolles von der G. J. umständlicher Bericht wie das Porcellän in China verfertiget wird. (pp. 106-144)- based on information in letters written by François-Xavier d’Entrecolles (1664-1741) in 1712 and 1722. It also contains a section titled 'Das entdeckte Geheimniss des a?chten Porcelains, so wohl des Chinesischen als Sa?chsischen: von einem Besitzer dieses Geheimnisses', which roughly translates to 'The discovered secret of true porcelain, the Chinese as well as the Saxon: from a possessor of the secret.' |
