Description The Society, composed largely of nonconformists, was formed to commemorate the Revolution of 1688 and to promote radical political ideas and parliamentary reform. The details given in the minute book include the names of the Society's officials, the dates and whereabouts of meetings, chiefly in London taverns and coffee houses, the names of those present, resolutions, proceedings, reports of correspondence with other societies in England and France, and with the National Assembly of France, and publications and sermons sponsored by the Society.
