Additional Information Jesse Partridge (1742-1795) settled in Falmouth (now Portland) in Maine where he engaged in trading through the establishment of a general store, lumber mill and a shipping enterprise. This collection of business records, for the period 1770 to 1795, represents the operations of all aspects of Partridge's business interests. The majority of transactions refer to clothing, food, rum, raw materials and milled lumber.
