Description Part of a series which consists of official outward correspondence dispatched by authorization of the Governor and Committee, including correspondence to the Governors of Rupert's Land and to Hudson's Bay Company commissioners in Canada. The correspondence deals with a variety of matters, such as commissions of appointment, management instructions, political relations with governments in Europe and North America, and Hudson's Bay Company's North American operations. Letters provide or request information on a wide variety of topics such as approving the building of a new Factory, the number of French deaths, sending rabbit skins, signing an agreement with the French and paying bills for goods from the French. Letters also contain instructions and orders.
